Our kitchen is actually very big for a city apartment. But despite its size, there is literally 12 inches of usable counter space, not counting the breakfront (we put that cute black and white tile on the breakfront a few years ago.)
In addition to no counter space, there is just one usable electrical outlet. And the stove uses one of the plugs, leaving one plug for us. We can have toast or coffee. But not both. We need both.
