The door is closed. For good.

DAY 5: The secret door has seen its final days. It is now drywalled over and gone.

The workers have also rewired for most of the outlets. Plaster walls are apparently more forgiving than I would have thought. There is also a shut off valve for the ice maker line right where the refrigerator will sit.

It is very interesting to see all this old construction. The brick under all this plaster hasn't seen the light of day for 104 years.

Crew will take the weekend off. We will count next Monday as Day 6.
