DAY 6: That is as bad as it looks. An original water line (center) is rusted, corroded and leaking, and may very well have been leaking for years. It has to be replaced.
That pipe runs from the floor to the ceiling on the back wall of the kitchen. That means opening up both the floor and the ceiling.
Not only does it need to be replaced, the plans include building a new wall for the sole purpose of hiding it. That pipe has caused trouble twice now.
