Kobe beef, Wild boar



We went to Alexandria's Del Ray neighborhood with our friends Jim and Wally last weekend, and blew a wad of cash at all the fun little stores. Including Let's Meat on the Avenue, a butcher run by an Australian guy. We bought a Kobe beef sirloin...



We're from Iowa and Nebraska, so it's hard to impress us with beef. We're corn fed boys. But any cow raised on beer has our approval. Good stuff.



And then there was the wild boar chop...



It was like a gamey pork chop. (With raisins and apples.) The guy also has kangaroo meat! That's our next adventure.
