Cooking at CulinAerie
A friend and I took an evening cooking class at CulinAerie this week, an informal culinary school in Logan Circle opened a couple of years ago by Susan Holt, former executive sous chef at 1789 in Georgetown and a long time instructor at L'Academie de Cuisine.She was great! It was a very relaxing evening with both instruction and hands-on cooking. Our theme was "Rustic Winter Suppers." We made Potato, Swiss Chard and Chorizo soup...Lamb with Orzo...And Brown Butter Apple Crisp. A very fun evening! Plus, there was plenty of wine, and we ate very well.
