Ma's Kitchen

The contractor suggested we go to Ma's Kitchen in Rockville, Md. to look at counters. We both thought "Ma's Kitchen" sounded so homey and cute. It turns out it's not like Mom. It's Ma. Heng Ma, the Asian owner.

We looked at some granite, but neither one of us got too excited. Granite has become the 21st century equivalent of 1970's avocado green refrigerators. Everybody's got it (and it may look really dated in a decade or so.)

We're leaning more toward a man made product, like Silestone, but we'll still do business with Ma. Mr. Ma. The company's reputation is low price and fast turnaround. No decision needed on counters just yet.
