When my mom made these, I'd be home for dinner.
For the meatballs: Ground beef with onion, egg and parsley....and uncooked macaroni.
For the sauce: Vegetable juice, brown sugar, a splash of vinegar and a pinch of cinnamon.
Mix the uncooked macaroni right in with everything else.
And make into big meatballs.
Drop into sauce and simmer for an hour. The macaroni cooks inside
the meatballs. The starch thickens the sauce.
Macaroni meatballs. With spinach mashed potatoes.
